About

I am a certified teacher, but I now homeschool my oldest 2 children (I have 3).  My oldest daughter is 6, my second daughter is 4, and my son is 1 1/2, so they keep me on my toes.  Surprisingly, this is my 4th year homeschooling since we intentionally homeschooled for 2 years for Preschool for my oldest daughter.  My husband and I have been married 8 years.  My hobbies are blogging, reading, yard saling, and cooking.

When I was 21, I felt the Lord lay on my heart my mission.  The mission he gave me is to connect to people, to connect people to other people, and to be a servant leader.  Right now I am at home serving my children, but blogging and reading has given me a chance to keep my own brain active and not lose myself.  Blogging and Facebooking has allowed me to connect with people though I’m not able to get out as much as I used to be able to.  Last month, my brother came to visit and talked to me about my blogging.  It really made me think about why I blog.  At first, it felt like I did it for selfish reasons, but as I thought more and more about it, I realized that there is something about the way that God made me–that blogging gives me a platform to share with others (who want to read about it) what God is teaching me and things I’ve discovered.  I am an extrovert and strangely enough–blogging energizes me.

I don’t blog to make any money from it.  I blog because I am passionate about the things I think and have been convicted of by the Lord.

As a book blogger, I am given complimentary copies of books, but I am honest about what I think in a loving way.  I was reading in the Word this morning that Knowledge is nothing if it is not shared in love (I Corinthians 12-13).
