If you want to pursue classical education…
The Well-Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer and her daughter After homeschooling for several years, my views on this book have changed, but it is still a helpful resources. I began schooling with the classical philosophy in mind, but have completely abandoned it because my oldest daughter was not successful with Well Trained Mind’s grammar, history, and writing curriculums. Many people love this book and it is a very thorough introduction to classical education.
If you want to try preschooling at home…
Slow and Steady Get Me Ready I compared the skills in this book to a scope and sequence for preschool. It will cover all of the skills your child needs to learn. It may look old-fashioned, but it is clear, simple, and easy to use.
